ISOPROPYL ETHYL THIONOCARBAMATE
Major Component: O-Isopropyl-N-ethyl thionocarbamate
Molecular Formula: (CH3)2CHOCSNHC2H5
Description: Amber or dark brown oily liquid with slight pungent odour, sparingly soluble in water, very soluble in alcohol, ethyl ether, benzene and petroleum ether etc. Density: 990-1004kg/m3. Flash point: 140.
Applications: An excellent collector in flotating nonferrous metallic sulfides, with less collecting pyrite and higher selectivity, using the collector affording higher quality of concentrate with low amount of arsenic (under presence of arsenic). These reagents are only collectors. They are not soluble in water. It also has water emulsifiable formulation . Both types are selective collectors for copper sulphide, metallic copper or copper-activated zinc over pyrite. They are generally used in combination with xanthates or dithiophosphates. The thiocarbamates are stable in acid solutions and are used in a broad pH range. They do not develop a lot of froth and require the used of conventional frother. Suitable frothers are one of our Frothers. Specification:
